As an Integrative Genome Science User Facility, the JGI plays a leadership role in enabling the frontiers of research related to DOE’s missions in bioenergy, carbon cycling and biogeochemistry. In complement to the Community Science Program, scientists at the JGI drive innovations that cross the boundaries of the Plant, Fungal, Algal, Microbial, Metagenome, Metabolomics, Secondary Metabolites, and DNA Synthesis Science Programs and draw from the infrastructure of Genomic Technologies and Data Science & Informatics. Following is a list of JGI scientists and their research groups.
The JGI sustains a vibrant community of postdoctoral and early career researchers, who work closely with Berkeley Lab’s Career Pathways Office.
