Transcript
ALISON: Hey, I’m Alison Takemura and I’m the host of a new podcast called “Genome Insider” from the US Department of Energy Joint Genome Institute.
It’s going to be environmental genomics research like you’ve never heard before. In each episode, we’re going to talk to researchers — both wet-lab and computational scientists — and we’ll ask them-what they’re up to.
Here’s a sneak peak of the podcast:
GARY: This is soil that there’s so much vegetation material, so much plant biomass, that there’s actually a little bit hole in that it’s mainly seems like plant material and has a different texture until you really experience it. It’s hard to describe I mean, the best way I guess would be that Tempur-Pedic, Swedish massage bed when you step on it, how (bop, bop, bop) it’s bouncy kind of when you walk along it, walking along a peatland is like that.
ALISON: Hope you enjoyed that. Watch out for episodes of Genome Insider, the new podcast of the Joint Genome Institute, coming soon. Bye bye!
