Lodging

A block of rooms for Jamboree participants has been reserved at the Embassy Suites. The hotel is a ten-minute drive from the JGI Production Genomics Facility and is handy to the Pleasant Hill BART stop. Rooms in the block at Embassy Suites will cost $99 per night (government rate). Government ID will not be required to receive this rate. Be sure to give the group/convention code "OCS" when reserving your room. The hotel will hold the block of rooms until midnight Friday, September 2, 2005. After that date, the discount rate will apply based only upon room availability.

Embassy Suites offers a daily happy hour from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. with cocktails and snacks. Please join fellow jamboree participants at this event on Monday night.

Meals

A continental breakfast and catered lunch will be served during the workshop each conference day. For those who prefer a more complete morning meal, the Embassy Suites also offers a complimentary full breakfast. Dinner is on your own, except for the Jamboree dinner on Wednesday night.

The venue for Wednesday night's dinner is the Walnut Creek Yacht Club, a casual seafood restaurant in downtown Walnut Creek. Be sure to indicate whether you'll be able to join us for dinner when you register online.
